"I am proud of my childhood friend and next door neighbor from Wood-Ridge.   Gary was born deaf, but that never stood in his way for his love and advocacy for the deaf, higher education at NJ Colleges, and sports.   By the way we played some fierce wiffle ball and tackle football games in his backyard"
