MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The Annual Wood-Ridge Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013.
Services will begin at the Walk of Freedom at the Senior Center at 10:00 a.m. with the parade beginning at 11:30 am at the Veterans’ Walk of Freedom.
The parade will step-off from the corner of Hackensack Street and Highland Avenue (Senior Center) and head South on Hackensack Street (note route change). The parade will travel to Union Avenue and precede west to Valley Blvd. The parade will continue on Valley Blvd North. The parade procession will continue and end at Windsor Road. The conclusion of the parade will take place at the newly renovated Veterans Park where festivities will include refreshments (hot dogs & ice cream), strolling musicians, military vehicles and involvement from many of our local merchants.
Please come out and honor and celebrate our veterans by lining the parade route. Flags and novelties will be handed out to all those curbside. |
