Greater NJ Cystic Fibrosis Presentation
Wood-Ridge Mayor Paul Sarlo and Councilman Ed Marino present a check for $9,500 to Robin Vogel of the Greater New Jersey Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the Borough Council Meeting May 17. Cystic Fibrosis was selected as the charitable cause for the first-ever 5K race, where more than 400 runners competed in October 2010. |

Recreation Commission Chairman Dennis Brubaker
Mayor Sarlo and Councilman Ezio Altamura, who serves as Liaison to the Recreation Commission, honor Rec Chairman Dennis Brubaker for 25 years of dedicated service at the Borough Council Meeting May 17. Mr. Brubaker, who has been Chairman for the past 16 years, has also served the residents of Wood-Ridge through Babe Ruth Baseball, the Lions Club, the Wood-Ridge Centennial Committee and numerous other civic organizations. |

Recreation Commission Member Joseph Zielinski
Mayor Sarlo and Recreation Commission Liaison Ezio Altamura present a plaque and New Jersey Senate resolution to Rec Commission Member Joseph Zielisnki for his service on May 17. During Mr. Zielinski's 12 years on the Commission, he served as Treasurer, demonstrating a relentless commitment to Wood-Ridge, its youth and sports programs. |

WRHS Blue Devils Basketball Team
Mayor Sarlo and the Borough Council formally recognize Coach Ed Rendizio '87 and the Wood-Ridge High School Varsity Basketball Team for a standout season at the May 17 Council Meeting. The Blue Devils captured the North 1 Section 1 Championship with a 24-5 overall record and 15-1 league record. They also earned the titles of Meadowlands League Champions and winners of the Herbert Cohen Holiday Tournament. The top six players on the team have earned individual recognition by being named to the First, Second, and Honorable Mention All-County Teams. |
