Recreation Jr. Football & Cheering 2008 Registration

Wood-Ridge Junior Football & Cheering will hold registrations for the Fall 2008 Program now through June 1st at the Wood-Ridge Recreation Office (during regular office hours-201-939-7507), located in the Civic Center, 495 Highland Avenue. Registration forms can also be mailed along with a check payable to Wood-Ridge Recreation, to Borough of Wood-Ridge, 85 Humboldt Street, Wood-Ridge NJ 07075 Attention: Recreation. Registration is also available online powered by active.com via the wood-ridge website www.njwoodridge.org.

All boys & Girls are invited to participate in our program.  Placement is based upon age or grade in September 2008.

Flag Football:  Grade K through 2nd 5-6 yr. Olds on 9/1/08

Pee Wee Football: 7-9 yr. Olds on 9/1/08

Junior Football:  10-11 yr. Old on 9/1/08

Senior Football: 12, 13 & 14 yr. Old on 5/1/08 

Pee Wee Pep Squad: 1st & 2nd Grade in September 2008

Pee Wee Cheerleaders: 3rd & 4th Grade in September 2008

Junior Cheerleaders: 5th & 6th Grade in September 2008

Senior Cheerleaders: 7th & 8th Grade in September 2008

Any equipment not returned from the 2007 season should be brought to the Recreation Office.  Any player that did not return his or her uniform will not be allowed to register for the 2008 season until the uniform is returned.

Football

Fee for registration is $50 per child or $75 per family two or more.  In conjunction with the Meadowlands Junior Football League, only Wood-Ridge & Moonachie residents are eligible to register for Football.

Cheering: 

Fee for registration is $50 per child or $75 per family for all Wood-Ridge & Moonachie residents.  We welcome all Assumption non-resident students to register in our cheering program for a fee of $75 per child or $100 per family. This year cheerleaders will receive shorts and a t-shirt to wear to practices.  In order to ensure delivery by the first practice, all cheerleaders must be registered by June 1^st.

We need your help!

Our refreshment stand is our number one support for our program.  Help is needed in the following areas. 

Set-up (8:15 a.m.) prior to the game. Refreshment Stand for 1 of 4 games:

Flag Game (arrive at 10:30 a.m.) Pee Wee Game (arrive at 11:30 a.m.) Junior Game (arrive at 12:30 p.m.) Senior Game (arrive at 2 p.m.) or Clean-up (3:30 p.m.) after senior game.
