Catholic Schools Week Dinner

Come join us as we honor Dr. Mary Ann (Bullion) Clayton, Bergen County Medical Examiner at our "Catholic Schools Week Dinner", Thursday, February 4th at the Fiesta, in Wood-Ridge. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Please call 201-933-0239 no later than January 22nd for reservations.

Notice to Wood-Ridge Owners of Dogs and Cats

Chapter 134 of the "Code of the Borough of Wood-Ridge" requires all dogs and cats to be licensed prior to January 31st, 2010.  Any person who violates the above provision and upon conviction thereof, is subject to a fine of $7.50 and/or a summons issued, per pet.

Dog and cat licenses may be obtained at the Health Department, 85 Humboldt Street, Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The license fee is $18.00 for a neutered pet or $21.00 per non-neutered pet.  Licenses may also be obtained by mail.  Make check or money order payable to "Borough of Wood-Ridge" and include a self-addressed stamped return envelope.

As per New Jersey state law, rabies vaccination must be valid for the licensing year (earliest expiration date January 2011) before a license will be issued.

Please be advised that if your veterinarian determines that your dog should not have a rabies shot, an exemption form must be completed and returned with your application and payment.  In addition, if your dog or cat has been spayed or neutered, proof of neutering is necessary.

On Thursday, May 14th the Wood-Ridge Mayor and Council and Wood-Ridge Board of Education conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new track and field facility located behind Wood-Ridge High School.  Pictured are the Wood-Ridge Mayor and Council, Recreation Track and Field Athletes, and the Wood-Ridge High School Track Team.

Wood-Ridge DPW Inspection May 5, 2009
On May 5, 2009, The Department of Public Works in the Borough of Wood-Ridge had an inspection for the Mayor and Council.  Pictured from left to right are: Borough Administrator Chris Eilert, Councilman Dominick Azzolini, Public Works Employee Sean Metcalfe, D.P.W.
