Saint Patrick's Dinner

Saturday, March 13th

The Wood-Ridge Knights of Columbus, Saint Anthony Council # 11585 will be holding our annual Saint Patrick's Dinner on Saturday March 13th at Assumption Church.  Tickets are $15 each.   A Full Corn beef, Cabbage, and Potato Dinner is being catered by Jahn's Delicatessen.  For tickets or additional information call 201-414-4525.

Night Time

Snow Removal Operations

Starting Saturday, February 27th, the Wood-Ridge DPW will be conducting snow removal operations from various public access roads during the night time hours.  You may experience some noise and/or disturbance at these times.

Friday, March 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Notice to Wood-Ridge Owners of Dogs and Cats

Chapter 134 of the "Code of the Borough of Wood-Ridge" requires all dogs and cats to be licensed prior to January 31st, 2010.  Any person who violates the above provision and upon conviction thereof, is subject to a fine of $7.50 and/or a summons issued, per pet.

Dog and cat licenses may be obtained at the Health Department, 85 Humboldt Street, Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The license fee is $18.00 for a neutered pet or $21.00 per non-neutered pet.  Licenses may also be obtained by mail.  Make check or money order payable to "Borough of Wood-Ridge" and include a self-addressed stamped return envelope.

As per New Jersey state law, rabies vaccination must be valid for the licensing year (earliest expiration date January 2011) before a license will be issued.

Please be advised that if your veterinarian determines that your dog should not have a rabies shot, an exemption form must be completed and returned with your application and payment.  In addition, if your dog or cat has been spayed or neutered, proof of neutering is necessary.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held On Thursday, May 14, 2009

On Thursday, May 14th the Wood-Ridge Mayor and Council and Wood-Ridge Board of Education conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new track and field facility located behind Wood-Ridge High School.  Pictured are the Wood-Ridge Mayor and Council, Recreation Track and Field Athletes, and the Wood-Ridge High School Track Team.

Wood-Ridge DPW Inspection May 5, 2009
